Mrs.Alberta Brown 80 of Malvern, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Baptist Health Medical Center - Hot Spring County. Mrs. Alberta Brown born October 16, 1939, in Hurlock, Maryland to Clemon Parker and Mary Elizabeth Parker. Mrs. Brown was full of life, love, and laughter. She cherished her family and friends whom, she has touched throughout her entire life with a tender heart, soothing love and a great smile that could brighten a damp day and warm a cold night.
Mrs. Brown attended the Hurlock, Maryland Public Schools as a child. Alberta was employed with Belda Rosed and later at the Arlington Hotel, serving as a maid for a total of 10 years. Finding a need closer to her home, Mrs. Alberta began serving at the Malvern Senior Center delivering Meals on Wheels to the seniors in her own community.
Alberta loved her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and proved to be an inspiration in their lives to get an education and keep the Lord in their lives. She would keep them while their parents worked and overnight ehen necessary. She made sure that they had the best care possible and that they knew that they had a friend in her.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father: Mary Elizabeth Parker and Clemon Parker; all of her siblings and daughter Versie Mae Brown Cross (nickname Plum Nelly); aunt Ella Mae Holland.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband: Robert Brown; daughter: Cynthia Luke; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Cremation services where under the direction of Samuel L .Vance & Sons Funeral Directors. A Memorial Services will be scheduled at another date.
