Mr. Anthony "Sonny" Dedmon, 60 of Portland, Oregon formerly of Malvern, Arkansas transitionedon October 13, 2018 while at Serenity Hill Hospitalin Las Vegas, Nevada. Anthonywas born to the late Jessie & Louise Eason Dedmon on February 8th, 1958 in Malvern, AR.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Malvern, AR
Anthony graduated from Malvern High School in 1977 where he was an avid basketball player the the Malvern Leopards. He worked at Chamberlin Doors for over 20 years. In 1989, Anthony moved to Portland, Oregon were he worked for Kaiser Hospital and later retired. He enjoyed "Ole" Skool Music and was Pittsburgh Steelers #1 fan.
Anthony was preceded by: Parents Jessie & Louise Dedmon; Brothers: Mathew (MT) , Curtis & Roy Dedmon.
He leavesto cherish his memories: Sons, Blial Dedmon of Portland. Oregon & Rasheda Dedmon of Las Vegas, Nevada; Brothers Abdual K. (Helen) Hasan of Little Rock, Arkansas & Eurell F. Dedmon of Fresno, California; Sisters Elouise Payne & Linda Dedmon both of Oakland, California, Margie Bartlett of Louisville, Kentucky, Eltesa (Gary) Langston of Malvern, Arkansas; Uncle Clemmine C. Dedmon of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of other relatives.
God saw the roads were getting rough, the hills were hard to climb, He gently closed his loving eyes, and whispered "Peace be Thine". His days of Toil, his nights of pain, his weary hours have past, his patient worn, torn frame, has found sweet rest in the Lord. God who knoweth all things best, eased his suffering, and gave him rest. He is gone but not forgotten. Never will our memories fade. Sweetest thoughts will forever linger round the place he rest
