Obituary

Betty Dillinger was born on February 23, 1963 in Star City, Arkansas. Affectionately known as "B.J." She was born to the parents of Thelma Ree and Charles Henry Lewis, Sr. Betty accepted Christ and was baptized at a very early age attending Greater Paradise Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Jerry L. Black. Betty attended Little Rock Central High School, graduating in 1981. She later attended Metropolitan Career Technical Center. The lights of her life whom she truly adored were her one daughter, LaTasha M. Braggs, and one very, very special granddaughter, Emeree' J. Bennett. Betty was a very loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She was known for being vibrant, fun-loving, charismatic, and was the true essence of being the life of the party. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, granddaughter, and friends. She had a love for elegant clothes, shoes, fine jewelry, and perfumes. Betty shared an extraordinary bond and relationship with her favorite sister, Angela Lewis. Their relationship was characterized by a unique and cherished connection, exemplifying the ideal sisterhood. They shared many fond memories by frequenting their favorite "spots", and safe-keeping each other's secrets. B. J. transitioned into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2025, where she was welcomed by her Father, Charles Henry Lewis, Sr. , Maternal Grandfather, Ernest Tillman, Sr. and Paternal Grandmother, Carrie Lewis and a host of other family members and friends. Lewis, Jr. (LaKimberly), Angela Lewis, Russell Lewis (Keniya), of Las Vegas, NV, Genevia Pickens, Darryl Lewis, and Peggy Nichols. Special Niece, Chastity Sims, very special, longtime friend, Michael S. Honey, best friend, Gloria Washington and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends. "Mom, Where Have You Gone?." I will never again see your smiling face. I will never again feel your warm embrace. I cry everyday Wishing you'd come back. Life just isn't the same With the Mother I lack. "I miss you mom, Where have you gone?" My days alone, Just seem to long I Scream and yell in anger Wondering why your not here I scream and yell in Sadness Wishing you were near.. Somedays I feel I can't handle the Pain Somedays I cry knowing That I'll never see your face again. I looked up to the sky and screamed ''Why Lord! Why!" and as I fell to the ground all I could do is cry.. Maybe God put you there for a reason. Maybe so I can see you In every Season Maybe Life Isn't so bad with you gone. Maybe you've been With Me all Along I miss you mom, Where have you gone? My days alone, are still too long. By Tala Bloneau Samuel L. Vance & Sons Funeral Directors " The Epitome of Service "
