Mother Betty Jean Willis, 82 of Maumelle, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on Monday, August 20th, 2018 at Barrow Creek Health & Rehabilitation- Little Rock. Mother Willis was born July 27, 1936 in Seguin, Texas to the late Boyd & Juanita Wilson.

In 1942 she moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and attended school. After confessing a hope in Christ at an early age she was baptized at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. It was in Corpus Christi, Texas where she met Hosea Willis while he was stationed in the service.

On December 14, 1954 Hosea & Betty joined together in Holy Matrimony. As of December 14, 2006 they were married for 52 years. They faithfully raised three children, Ellen A. Willis-Stewart, Milton & Eeric White.

After moving to Arkansas Mother Willis joined Word outreach Ministries. Shelater joined Greater New Bibleway Church of God in Christ and served faithfully as a Mother of the Church.

Mother Willis was preceded in the death by: Husband Hosea Willis; Parents Boyd & Juanita Wilson; Sisters: Louise White, Bernice Floyd & Vera Fasion; Step-Sister Dorothy Gant; Brother Robert Wilson; Special Friend James Williams.

Mother Willis leaves to cherish her memories: Daughter Ellen Annette Willis Stewart; Sons Milton & Eeric White, grandchilden and a host of relatives.
