IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Ray
November 8, 1990 – August 10, 2016
Courtland DeWayne Ray a.k.a. Lil Scrwy, Mr. Kicksnap, and Y.O.L.A. Green, 25, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, entered into eternal slumber on August 9, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was welcomed into this world on Thursday November 8, 1990 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Julius C. Ray and Courtney D. Harris-Ray. Courtland attended public and private schools in both Little Rock and North Little Rock and earned his high school diploma.
Courtlands love for music began at an early age while attending Faith Christian Academy in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was during this time that he learned to play music by ear while participating in music class. As time progressed he became interested in other facets of music such as dancing, creating beats, and composing. Courtland was gifted with a beautiful voice and was not only an exceptional rapper but also an amazing singer and dancer. He was so ambitious that he did not just stop at music but pursued sports with his first endeavor being a little league baseball player and street basketball. Courtland was patient and sometimes very impatient, helpful, skilled being extremely gifted with his hands, handsome, a jokester, roaster, prankster, proud big brother, spoiled little brother, loving son, cherished grandson, and overall was well liked.
Courtland with his beautiful smile, warm-heartedness, and persona possessed the capability to sweep the ladies off their feet from ages 0-100. Along with being quite the charmer, he was also very much real and extremely passionate and vocal about his feelings and beliefs. Hard working, driven, and successful he worked numerous jobs over the course of his life with his last employer being Rebel Kettle Brewing where he truly excelled. Courtland loved fishing, shining as the center of attention, and hanging out with his friends. But among all things, the most important thing in his life was being the man and making his mother happy.
Left to cherish Courtlands memory are his parents Julius C. Ray of Opa-Locka, Florida and Courtney D. Cottrell (Arthur) of Sherwood, Arkansas.
