IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Curtis
Hubbard
May 21, 1976 – August 21, 2024
Curtis Hubbard, 48 of Malvern, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on August 21, 2024, at his home. Curtis B. Hubbard was born to Sharon Walker and Johnny Ray Hubbard in Monroe, Louisiana on May 21, 1976. Curtis was of Baptist faith and a graduate of Malvern High School, Class of 1996, playing the tuba in band while attending school. He later attended Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas and became a member of the Army National Guard. Curtis was employed with Mike Paul Masonry, Happy Valley Nursing Home and Pactiv Evergreen, where he was lovingly known as "Hubb". He also was the owner of Hubb's Lawn Care. Curtis enjoyed playing video games, family gatherings, fishing, baseball, his morning coffee and especially spending time with his son Curtlon. Whether it was competitively teaching the hands of his lawn service or instilling life lessons to last a lifetime, CURTLON was Curtis' Life, and it showed in his everyday conversations. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Demmie Lee Lambert Walker, mother: Sharon Phillips, father: Johnny Ray Hubbard and Stepfather: Robert "BB" Phillips, brother: Darren Bullock, paternal grandparents: Willie and Nora Hubbard; best friends: Tyrick Cooper, Dewon Wells and Asie Pilgrim. Curtis leaves to cherish his memories: wife of 25 years, Tiffany Henry Hubbard; son: Curtlon Emil Hubbard; stepmother: Mae Lee Wainwright; mother-in-law: Betty Webb McCray; brothers: Robert Phillips Jr. of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Russell Phillips (Tina) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Otis Phillips (Lori), Derek Phillips and Percy Phillips all of Malvern, Arkansas; sisters: Angela Williams and Deborah Gregory (Henry) both of Malvern, Arkansas, Stephanie Utley of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Roberta Phillips of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Alexa Phillips, Tina Harris (Derek) and Erika Rogers of Little Rock, Arkansas; special friend (like a sister): Annette Toni Matlock and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Trust in God's Plan It's hard to understand Why God takes those we love. Does He need them more than we do, In Heaven up above? No one on earth can pretend To know what's in God's plan. All we can do is take it on faith And trust we'll see our loved ones again. By Kelly Roper Samuel L. Vance & Sons Funeral Directors " The Epitome of Service "
