Derrick Lamar Evans, 41 of Malvern Arkansas transitioned on Friday, September 8, 2023 at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - Little Rock. Derrick was born July 21, 1982 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Ruthie Hunter McCauley Evans. He was a 2000 graduate of Malvern High School. Derrick was a very sweet and kind hearted young man. He always respected his elders, by saying "yes sir", "no sir", "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am. Derrick loved video games, cars, motorcycles and fishing. He was a talented artist, a great cook and always kept his home and cars nice and clean. He loved his family and his family loved him. Derrick married Brandy, of Little Rock, Arkansas and to this union a beautiful daughter Heaven, of Conway was born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruthie Evans. Derrick leaves to cherish his memory wife: Brandy Evans; daughter: Heaven Evans and three grandchildren; brothers: Perry(Monica)McCauley, Jasper(Queen)Evans and Johnny Hall all of Malvern; Aunts: Mary Whitaker and Diana(James)Langley of Arkadelphia, AR, Sandra(David)Beard-Gamble of Highland Park, MI, Pat(Freddy)Nunn of Little Rock, AR and Sandra Jones of Hot Springs, AR; uncles: Royal(Shirley)Hunter of Richmond, VA and Odis Hunter of Lexington, KY; great aunts: Eloise Blackmon of Hot Springs, AR and Betty King of Los Angeles, CA, also a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In our quiet times together alone, I shall always cherish until that day When death shall find me and atone, And we both are home to stay.
