Dewey Richardson Sr. was born on February 1, 1946, in Malvern, Arkansas to loving parents of the late Johnnie and Lois Richardson. He attended AA Wilson School in Malvern, Arkansas and graduated in 1964. In 1992, he attended Ouachita Vocational School. Dewey worked at Reynolds Aluminum Company in Troutdale, Oregon for 30 years, he retired in 1992. Not wanting to lead a sedentary life, he secured a job with Malvern School District where he retired a second time in 2017. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age, uniting with First Baptist Church under the pastorage ofRev. W.S. Hayes, where he spent many years serving as a member of the Trustee Board and Finance Committee and leader of Men and Women's Month. He was also a member of St. Luke Lodge #23 of the MWPHGL of AR, Southern District #7 of Malvern. On May 29, 1964, he married his high school sweetheart, Willie Mae Hunter. To this union four children were born, to whom he was an upstanding father He was preceded in death by both parents, a son, Dewey Richardson, Jr., two brothers: Johnnie J. Richardson and Huey Richardson, and one sister: Sylvia Fraction. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Willie Mae Hunter Richardson of Malvern, AR; daughters: Renee Richardson of Malvern, AR, Michelle (Reggie) Richardson Blue of Portland, OR, son: Kevin (Shonna) Richardson of Houston, TX, and one honorary son: Pastor Michael (Connie) Clayton of Little Rock, AR; four grandchildren: Andrea Richardson and Cole Blue of Portland, OR, Ayden Richardson and Tristian Richardson, of Malvern, AR; one sister: Debbra Richardson and many more relatives and close family friends
