Gary Lee Dawson 57 of Mabelvale, Arkansas died on Tuesday, June 14th at his home. He was born in Little Rock on February 23, 1959 to Moses C. Dawson and the late Veola Harris Dawson. Gary attended Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Texas. After graduating He joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in Camp Pendleton, California during his military career. Once Gary returned to Little Rock he worked for several employers including Levi Straus, Smurfit/ Stone Container, and Cameron Valves and Measurements. He also was an entrepreneur and owned detailing business. He was a faithful member of Faithful Temple Church under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Young.
Survivors include his loving wife Catina Dawson ; Son Tyler Henry of Mabelvale; daughters Alicia Coppage and Alexis (Jeremiah II) Pride of Little Rock; Father Moses (Jonie) Dawson of Fort Worth, Texas; Brother Michael (Lana) Dawson, nephew Michael Dawson Jr. and niece Mercedes Dawson all of Fort Worth, Texas; Sister Veronica ( Timothy) McDaniel , niece LaCarol McDaniel and nephew Timothy McDaniel Jr. all of Little Rock. Three grandchildren he loved dearly Lilliana Bailey, Jayvon and Jeremiah Pride III all of Little Rock; Godson DreShaun Toney of Plumerville, Arkansas; Special niece Amiyah Mosley of Little Rock; Two special aunts Carla Norwood and Ella Robinson both of Little Rock. Visitation will be Friday, June 24th at 4:30pm until 6:45pm. Celebration of Life Saturday, June 25th at 11:00am both services to be held at First Baptist Church 811 S.A Jones Drive NLR with Pastor Ronald Young officiating. The Dawson and Henry families has chosen to be under the Professional Auspices of Samuel L.
