Obituary

Deacon Henry Lee Broadnax was born to the Parentage of The Late Elmer & Nettie Broadnax on February 24, 1940, in Camden, Arkansas. He made his peaceful transition on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family in Camden, Arkansas. He joined church at a young age at Velie Church Of God In Christ and later joined Greater New Calvary Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Wallace Johnson where he served on Deacon Board. He played many roles throughout the Church. In 1960, he graduated from the Union Grove School. After graduation, he entered the United States Navy. He was employed by Highland Industrial, where he later retired. He was a jack of all trades to many in the community and a comedian at heart. He was united in holy matrimony to Lucille (Isreal) Broadnax, the love of his life, in 1962. They had been married for 61 years. During this union, three children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Nettie Broadnax; Four brothers, George Broadnax, William Broadnax, Rev. Lee Alvis Broadnax and Richard Broadnax; and One sister Erma Jean Broadnax. He is survived by his Wife, Lucille, One Daughter Tammy Broadnax of Camden, Arkansas; Two Sons, Delvicco Lee (Angela) Broadnax of Arlington, Texas; Henry Francisco (Kausha) Broadnax of Forney, Texas. Eighteen Grandchildren Robert Broadnax, Lacindra Broadnax, Terrance Broadnax, Devonta (Taylor) Broadnax, Tyrees (Arnesia) Woodberry, Delvicco Broadnax Jr, Mario (Celeste) Broadnax, Aleisha (Ronnie) Newton, Phylicia Castleberry, Lamont Castleberry, Chad Haygood, ShaQuanda Richards, Devian Broadnax, Donovan Broadnax, Olivia Broadnax, Chase Broadnax, Doriana Charvis and Ashley Champion and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was loved by many.
