Obituary

Mr. Jason Dukes, 35 of North Little Rock transitioned on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the University of Arkansas For Medical Science (UAMS). Jason was born January 17, 1987 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Mae Jean Dukes and the late Milton Claude Dukes. Jason was a beloved son, companion, father, brother, and uncle. To know Jason is to truly love him. He had a smile that would brighten up any room he walked into. Jason had a passion for caring for others and would literally take the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. He was a fantastic and devoted father to his children. He taught his children to be caring, respectful, compassionate, and encouraged them to do well while also pursuing their dreams. Jason was a self taught mechanic. He shared this passion of fixing cars with his late father. Jason aspired to be a DJ. Whenever there was a family event you could always find Jason being the DJ blasting the best music. He loved old school music and movies. He shared a passion for sports and the Arkansas Razorbacks with his brothers. He always wanted to go visit the Golden State Bridge in California. Jason also loved to talk about the population in different states and had passion when sharing this knowledge with others. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Martha Burnett, Roosevelt Burnett, Sr. Henry Dukes, and Bertha Dukes; father, Milton Dukes Jason leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Mae Dukes; son, Tony Dukes; daughter, Arista Dukes; three brothers, Gary (Johnetta) Burnett, Michale Burnett, and Terrance (LaKesha) Green; four sisters, Rachel (James) Henderson, Janice (Arthur) Leonard, Keisha Dukes, and Teresa (Steve) Scott; longtime companion of 15 years Victoria Reynolds; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. There's a place in heaven prepared for me, When the toils of this life are o'er; Where the saints, robed in white, shall forever be, Singing praises forevermore. Samuel L.
