Jerry Block, 70 of Iola, Kansas formerly of Malvern, Arkansas transitioned on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Niosha Memorial Hospital - Chanute, KS. Jerry was born April 5, 1955 in Arkansas to the late Cleveland 'CB" Block and Lucielle Block. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents CB Block and Lucielle Block, his sisters, Linda Faye Cooper and Sharon Renee Prosper, his brothers Willie White, Charles Prosper, CB Block Jr, and Randy Block. Jerry leaves to cherish his memory: his stepmother, Rebie Jean Block of Malvern, his sister, Vatries (Johnnie) Gulley of Malvern, Larry Block, Gary Block, Pender Block, Masie Babb (Peggy), Audrey Block, Andrew (Adrien) Prosper, Dwight (Ann) Prosper, Ray Floyd (Alberta) Prosper, Charles Prosper and Micheal and Mark Prosper. Jerry leaves a legacy of six children: Daughters Melody Block-Hunter and Ashley Davis, and Sons Jerry D Block Jr, Javon Fields, Dante Martin, Bryce Malloy, and Grandchildren Sierra Block, Jordyn Malloy, Elviana Malloy, Taleha Martin and Marcellus Johnson and one great grandson Izaiah Graham. He will be missed by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He's Only Gone on Ahead By Kelly Roper He's only gone on ahead of you, Not just left you behind.
