IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Allen
Johnson Sr.
August 25, 1961 – January 25, 2023
This is a glimpse into the life of a dedicated and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. We shall not mourn his passing but rejoice for a life well lived. A life filled with love, joy, happiness and empathy for his fellow man. A precious one from us has gone; a voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our hearts; which never can be filled. On August 25, 1961 in Little Rock, Arkansas Kenneth Allen was born to the late Joe Ollie Johnson, Sr., and Maggie Lean Burks Johnson. Kenneth was the twelfth of thirteen children. He attended Malvern Public Schools. He moved to Richmond CA., and worked for Richmond Hardware and Lumber Company. Kenneth moved back to his hometown Malvern and was employed with a manufacture company. Kenneth married his high school friend Annette Buckner in June 1996. Kenneth lived life to the fullest and there was never a dull moment when he was around. One of his greatest joys was spending time fishing, going to Oaklawn and playing dominoes. He also enjoyed carpentry work and cooking, his family and friends called him the Grill Master. Kenneth accepted Christ at an early age at Greater New Hope Baptist Church. On January 25, 2023 the final age of this life was written. Kenneth in his 61 season slipped the bonds of this life for a life in eternity. His independent spirit, iron will, and strong character will never be duplicated. Waiting on the other side his parents; sisters, Annie Ruth Burns, Joyce Marie Johnson, Brother, Willie Albert Johnson. Kenneth leaves an indelible imprint on the hearts and minds of many people. He leaves a lifetime of love and memories that will be felt by his wife, Annette Johnson of 26 years. His sons: Kenneth Johnson Jr., of Sacramento, CA and Kendrick Johnson (Candice) of Cleveland, Ohio. Two daughters: Lasheca Johnson and Ashley Faison both of Malvern, AR Six sisters; Bessie Kinsey of Hot Springs, AR, Cora Mae Johnson of Hollywood, CA., Janet L, Johnson of Richmond CA., Patricia A. Hill Ivory, Mary Lynn Johnson and JoAnn Johnson all of Malvern AR. Three brothers: Henry Cooksey of Milwaukee, WI., Joe Ollie Johnson Jr., of San Angelo, TX., and Johnny L. Johnson of Malvern, AR. Sister-in-laws; Willie Ollison, Ernestine Mitchell (James), Debbie Buckner, Doris Johnson all of Malvern, AR Eula Smith and Erma McGee (Lavoris) of Little Rock AR. Eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Although Death walks beside us on Life's road, A dim bystander at the body's start And a last judgment on man's futile works, Other is the riddle of its ambiguous face: Death is a stair, a door, a stumbling stride The soul must take to cross from birth to birth, A grey defeat pregnant with victory, – Sri Aurobindo Samuel L.
