Obituary

Lavell Garrett, 41 was born on July 29, 1983 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the fourth child of Belinda Darlene Garrett and Fernandez Stewart (Tina). He was known as Ace among family and friends. After Lavell graduated from North Little Rock High School, he attended Pulaski Technical College where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Psychology. For the last five years Lavell was the manager at A-1 Freeman Moving Group. Ace was known for his fun-loving, good -spirited happy personality. Ace enjoyed cooking, but he truly loved baking. According to his sister's, he made the best hamburgers and chicken. He enjoyed working out, playing basketball, and watching his favorite team: the Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time with friends, family, and most of all, the Lord. He made sure to make time to read the Bible and talk to God on a daily basis. Ace had a beautiful smile that was truly enjoyed by all those around him. Ace held many titles in his life, son, brother, uncle, cousin but his favorite title was father. He was the proud father of one son, Lavell Garrett Jr. who meant the world to him. In the early morning hours of September 22, 2024, God called Ace home. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. Ace was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. He will forever be in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James and Dorothy Smith. Lavell is survived by: son Lavell Bernard Garrett Jr; mother: Belinda Garrett; step-father: Christopher Pound; father: Fernandez (Tina) Stewart; brothers: Carlton Garrett and Hosea Stewart; sisters: Darlene Jones, Lisa Smith of Fort Worth Texas, Christina Pound (Ricko); nieces: Kla Jenkins, Destiny Smith, Kamiya Harris; nephews: Rodney Stewart Jr, Derrick Smith Jr, Steven Kendrick Jr. and Kaveon Harris. AFTERGLOW I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when life is done. UNK~ Samuel L. Vance & Sons Funeral Directors " The Epitome of Service "
