Linda Smith was born to the late LC & Mattie Mae Hawkins on Wednesday, February 7, 1951 in Tulip, Arkansas. She graduated from Carthage High School. She worked at International Paper for many years. Linda was a member of Toones Chapel AME Church in Tulip, Arkansas, she also attended The Word Center Ministry in Malvern, Arkansas. Linda loved shopping, cooking, being around family; especially being around her grandkids. She was known for always having her hair together and every now and again she would wear lashes. Linda was so pleasant to be around. She would have family and friend laughing until they cried. Linda knew just what to say to make you smile, when you didn't feel like smiling. Linda was welcomed home by her husband: George Smith; parents: LC & Mattie Mae Hawkins; siblings: Alice Hawkins, Guy Lynn Hawkins, Ellis Hawkins and Larry Hawkins. Those left to cherish her memories children: Michelle (William) McNeely of Benton, Arkansas & Chasity Smith of Malvern, Arkansas; bonus daughters: Tabitha McCauley and Demecia Allen; grandchildren: Khalid Dawn, Creshunna Scott, Kanika Dawn; great-grandchildren: Khalayah Dawn, Caezar Williams and Phoreign Williams,Khalid Dawn Jr., Alora Noble; sisters: Patricia (Charlie) Carr, Gale Porter, Felicia (Darryl) Talley; brothers: James Hawkins, Michael (Beverly) Hawkins, Allen (Christy) Reese, Rex (Mona) Hawkins, Glen Hawkins and Tracy (Deanna) Hawkins and a host of other relatives and friends.
