Louise Burks was born on March 11, 1921 in El Dorado, Arkansas the only child of the late John Burks and late Leslie Singleton. She passed away on March 22, 2020, at age 99.

She was preceded in death by both parents, stepfather Junius Moore; Daughter: Willie Ann Goosby; Granddaughters: Elaine Adams and Belinda Carter; Tthree great-grand children.

She is survived by daughter: Verna Bone; Sons: John Jackson (Carol) and Mark Garland and James Garland and a host of other relatives .
