Obituary

Ms. Margarett Jean Reese was born January 15, 1954 in Gould, Arkansas; the loving daughter of the late Alexander Sr. and Bessie Hicks. She departed this life October 15, 2019.

Ms. Reese learned that the Lord was her savior at an early age at Woodman Hills Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Lowden was the pastor. After graduation she made many accomplishments. She was the OIC (Opportunity Industrialization Center) 2nd runner up. She was also a member of the OES Chapter #424 (Order of Eastern Star) and Golden Circle EU Reed #78. She retired from Evergreen Packaging after 25 years of service. She was an avid reader, world traveler, and an awesome bargain shopper. She was strong woman who had a strong faith in the Lord. She was everybodys Mother/Granny. She made sure everyone was taken care of whether family, friend, or foe. She has made a mark on many lives that will never be forgotten.

She leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Rhonda Geiggar (Deric) of Memphis, TN, Angela Reese of Pine Bluff, AR, and Lynetta Reese of Conway, AR; one son Kevin Reese of Pine Bluff, AR; 1 granddaughter Jazmine Reese, two great-grandsons Kayden Rose and Kalvin Reese; five sisters Thelma Baldwin and Bessie Hicks of Pine Bluff, AR, Barbara Hicks-Williams (J.B.) of Memphis, TN, Rubbie Hicks of Flint, MI, and Velma Pettis of Charlotte, NC; and two brothers Jessie Hicks (Cynthia) and James Hicks (Sharon) of Memphis, TN. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Sister Reese was preceded in death by her parents Alexander Hicks Sr. and Bessie Hicks; daughter Brenda Reese; son Terry Reese; three sisters: Luella Geter, Gloria Sanders and Lula Mae Washington; and two brothers Leron Riley, and Alexander Hicks Jr.

Be not dismayed, whatever,

Whatever betide,

God will take care of you,

Beneath, Beneath His wings,

Beneath His Wings, love abide,

God will, God will take care,

He'll take care of you,

I know He will.
