Mary Louise (Toney) Erby was the third of ten children born the the late Willie Lee Toney Sr. & Odessa Toney on April 16, 1952 in Chidester, Arkansas. Mary accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Bethel A.M.E Church Carthage. She was a member of the choir, where she love singing with her family. Mary was also a member of the Missionary Society. Mary graduated from Carthage High School in 1971. She worked several years at Carthage Nursing Home and later was employed with Millcreek of Arkansas in Fordyce, Arkansas until she retired. In 1978 Mary married Richard Erby Jr., they were married for twenty – six years before his passing in 2004. Mary love spending time with her family, friends, especially her sisters, brothers, children and grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Erby Jr.; son: Anthony Erby; parents: Willie Lee Toney Sr. & Odessa Toney; brothers: Rev. Willie Toney Jr. & Rev. Marvin Toney Sr.; aunt: Eunice Cross; uncle: Hershel Roberson. Mary leaves to cherish her memories daughters: Christie (Merlin) Lucious of Jackson, MS, Chinnetha (Crystal) Erby-Aucion of Hot Springs, AR & Angela (Ken) Thompson of Ann Arbor, MI; grandchildren: Lavell, Quentin, Davin Dmante Owens, Chance Erby-Aucion, Trevor Erby-Aucion;great-grandchildren: Saniya, Jaelyn, Elyjah, Kash, Kaecyn, & Genesis Owens, Kendall, Kevon, Jaden & Justin Thompson; brothers: Wayne (Suzette) Toney, Bishop Jeffery (Shirley) Toney both of Carthage, AR, Charles (Lisa) Toney of Bearden, AR, James Toney of Fordyce, AR; sister: Dessie Johnson of Carthage, AR, Dessie (David) Bradford of Mayflower, AR and Regina (Jessie) Thompson of Malvern, AR. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. May Time Soften Your Pain In times of darkness, love sees… In times of silence, love hears...
