Maud S. Hunter Hill known affectionately as "Granny" was born May 4th 1935 to Fred Hunter Sr. and Janie Newborn in Mt. Moriah Community of Arkadelphia, AR. On Saturday December 28th the Lord called her home peacefully in the presence of her family. Maud as a child was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Joan, Ar. She attended Peak High School in Arkadelphia, Ar. until the 11th grade and later receive her G.E.D. at Ouachita Vo-tech in 1994 Malvern, Ar. Upon after moving to Malvern, Ar. She was an employee of Curtis Mathis, Hoover Universal, Precision Industrial and several Hotels in Hot Spring, Ar. After retirement she briefly worked at Walmart. Upon moving to Malvern she joined Greater New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. J.H. White, where she exhibited her faith by serving in the Choir, on the Usher Board, Kitchen Committee, Church Custodian, President of the Media Center, Pastors Aide. In 2015 she was recognized as having 50 years, and is a Gold Star Member for 59 years. Maud enjoyed cooking fishing sewing gardening and spending time with her family. Also she was known for spoiling every baby she came in contact with. In 1954 she united in holy matrimony to A.J. Hill in Witherspoon, AR, and to this union 4 children were born. She is preceded in death by her husband A.J. Hill, and two sons Frank Ellis Hill and James Hill. also her siblings: Fred Hunter Jr., Henry C. Hunter, Clarence Hunter, Charles Hunter, Anjaneice Hunter, Ernestine Rhodes, Betty Lu Hunter, Maxine Buckley, Odessia Hunter Johnson, Jesse Mae Hunter, Ruthie T. Hunter, Ruby L Hunter, and one grandson Laron O. Hill. Left to cherish her precious memories are her children Billy Ray (Cheryl)Hill of Malvern, AR. Veneta Ann Hill Stills of Witherspoon ,AR. and numerous grandchildren: Tomecia Hill Fort Worth, TX., Edward (Jamie)Carroll Malvern, AR., Franaka Hill and Deborah of Hill Benton, Ar., Great Grandchildren: Tayana Bailey Forth Worth, TX., Franzuelah Hill Fayetteville, AR, Alexandria Hill Malvern, AR., Eryka Williams Conway, AR., Tiasjah Stephens and Bino Stephens, Hazel King, Braxton King, Princeton King, all of Benton, AR. Great Great Great Grandchildren: Kyran Hardimon, Kaisly Hardimon, Kingston Stephens, she also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Honorary Sisters: Mrs. C.M.Vaden, Mrs. Charlotte Primm, Mrs.Betty McCray, Mrs.Elaine Ollison. They say that time heals all, And this much I know is true.
