For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. Psalm 84:10 Sister Pearlie Mae Ford was born to the Parentage of The Late O.C. and Fannie Wimberly on September 24, 1944 in Lester, Arkansas. She departed this life on January 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family in Camden, Arkansas. Pearlie gave her life to Christ at an early age and was united with Shiloh AME Church in Chidester, Arkansas. She was a dedicated and faithful member of the Greater St. Paul Baptist where she served as an usher for 50 plus years until her health failed. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. Pearlie dedicated forty years of service to the White House Café were she famously known for her Red Dip Sauce. Pearlie was a compassionate hard-working person who loved people especially the elderly. She enjoyed going to the nursing home to care for the sick. Pearlie was united in Holy Matrimony to Elmer Ford, and to this union one son was born. She was preceded in death by her Husband Elmer Ford, Parents O.C. and Fannie Wimberly, three Brothers James Willis Smith, Leonard Smith, Joseph Napoleon Warren Sr; and One Step Son Paul Ford. Pearl who affectionate was called by her family leaves to cherish the memories of three sons: Kevin (Neco) Ford, Roderick Smith both of Camden, Arkansas. Freddie Smith of Lansing, Michigan; one daughter Shirley Smith of Sulfur Springs, Texas. A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The Lincoln High School class of 1963. Four special friends Cora Gulley, Amy Gilchrist, Joyce Gillette, and Addie Edwards, all of Camden, Arkansas. Samuel L.
