Obituary

Mr. Steven O'Bryan D'Morris Scott, 35 of Bauxite, Arkansas transitioned from Labor to Reward on October 17, 2022. He was born September 18, 1987, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Maude and Ivery Scott. Steven was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and uncle. Steven graduated from Fordyce High School in 2006. He graduated with an associate degree in Multimedia from SAU Tech in Camden, Arkansas. Steven also worked full-time as a federal employee at the United States Postal Service, where he has been employed for the last nine years as a postal carrier. Steven had a heart of gold and a smile that would brighten up any room he entered. He loved God and was a devoted member of The Spiritual Stars, Pop Gulley & The Rising Stars, The Four Seasons, Simply Blessed, Destined to God, and various other quartet groups. You could always find Steven serving God through his passion for singing and playing multiple instruments, the latest being the lead guitar. Steven passed on his love for singing and playing music to his son, Steven Scott, Jr. Steven was a massive fan of basketball and wrestling. He was a Lakers fan and enjoyed watching basketball games while interacting with others who shared the same passion for the game as he did. Steven was a fan of WWE and you could always find him sharing his excitement and passion with others through conversation. Steven was a rare and unique person who loved God & his family. Steven displayed his love for God through his daily compassion, empathy, & sympathy for those he encountered. Steven was preceded in death by two children; Taylor & Tyler Scott; parents, Maude and Ivery Scott and grandparents, Mable & Joe Collins, WT & Luella Scott. Steven leaves to cherish his memories wife Dr. Teresa Dukes-Scott; daughter, Cherish Scott; son, Steven Scott Jr; Godson, Nehemiah Taylor; three brothers, Tim (Michelle) Owens of Jacksonville, AR, Martiz (Cheryl) Scott of Monticello, AR, and Eric Scott Cedar Hill, Texas; three sisters, Gwen Owens of Atlanta, GA, Donna (Richard) Milton of Crossett, AR, and Dawanna Brown Garland, Texas; in addition to, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. When we see Jesus coming in glory, When He comes from His home in the sky; Then we shall meet Him in that bright mansion, We'll understand it all by and by.
