Terrica Laneice Davis, born August 27, 1972, in Malvern, Arkansas, lived a life that was full of color, personality, laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. She was a woman who could fill a room with her presence and leave an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.Terrica was born to the late Donnie Britten Davis, Sr. and Wanda Ruth Blackmon-Davis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Omar Rashad Davis and Darius JaMeel Davis.Terrica was the beloved mother of Tevin D’antè Williams, Johnny Lee Williams, Jr., Joshua Davis, and August. Her children were an important part of her story and will forever carry her memory with them.She leaves to cherish her memory her surviving siblings, Donnie (Britt) Davis, Jr. (Rita) of San Antonio, Texas; and LaDonna Davis of Bessemer, Alabama, along with her children, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.Terrica gave her life to Christ and is a former member of Calvary Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of the late Elder J.W. Harrison. She often attend with her family that consisted of three generations of Davis’.Terrica was an amazing cook. During many of the family holidays, she and her mother (Wanda) would spend countless hours in the kitchen together or in their separate homes. There they created delicious meals and memorable moments. Terrica also found a love for hair and fashion. She often went to concerts with some of her closest friends and she made sure that she looked her absolute best. Unfortunately, Terrica lived a life that was not without its struggles. She experienced seasons that were difficult for both herself and those who loved her. She could be strong-willed, outspoken at times, but those who truly knew Terrica also knew there was so much more to her than her struggles. She was a vibrant woman with a big personality, a quick sense of humor, and a heart that knew how to make people laugh and feel loved.Terrica was unapologetically herself, never afraid to speak her mind, and certainly never someone easily forgotten.Among the memories her family will treasure most are the simple moments that became unforgettable. Terrica’s niece remembers riding around town with Terrica and her mother, hooting and hollering down Walco, creating the kind of laughter that only family can understand.And then there were Terrica’s unexpected visits to the library—sometimes she would simply show up just to see her niece’s face and receive a little love.She would proudly say:“Ooo were, now I’m recharged like the Energizer Bunny… I just needed some familial love.”Little did she know, the love she came looking for was being given right back to the people who needed it just as much.Terrica’s passing comes during a particularly difficult season for her family. Just three days after the anniversary of her mother’s passing, her loved ones will gather to lay Terrica to rest. August has brought tremendous loss to the family, but even in grief, her family chooses peace—peace in knowing that Terrica and her mother are reunited, along with the other beloved family members who went before them.There is comfort in imagining that reunion: Terrica surrounded once again by the people she loved, laughing, talking, and being exactly who she was.
