With profound love and sorrow, we honor the life and legacy of Virginia Kay Jones-Weems, who was born on December 18, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas. On July 28, 2025, Virginia peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Virginia was a woman of great dignity and grace, known for her steadfast love and gentle spirit. Her radiant laughter, kind heart, and thoughtful wisdom touched the lives of all who knew her. She lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service—offering comfort, encouragement, and light to many along her journey. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Anwar Chisholm-Allen (Taurus Allen), Aaron Reed-Jones (Andrea Burton Reed-Jones), and Martika Reed; her brothers: Freddy Jones (Beverly Jones), Mahdi Ali (Sabreen Ali), and John Jones; her former husband and lifelong friend, Terry L. Weems, along with a host of cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Virginia now joins in eternal rest her beloved parents, Inez Jones and Matthew Jones, and James Oliver; her brothers: Billie Joe Starks, Matthew Jones Jr., and Charles Gregory Jones; and her sisters: Floyetta Mitchell, Addie Jean Ellick, Willie K. Sanders, and Cherry MacNac. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
