Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Ann Williams, of Malvern, Arkansas, gained her wings on Monday, June 20, 2022. She was born September 4, 1943 to the late Reverend James Lee and Addie Lue Faison McCalister. Virginia attended the Historic Annie Agnes Wilson Colored School in Malvern, Arkansas. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and united with First Missionary Baptist Church Rockport, Malvern, Arkansas. Her membership was enhanced by her participation as First Missionary Baptist Rockport Choir President, Chairperson of Vesti Bradford Circle and Kitchen Chairperson. Virginia had a nurturing nature; it was this nurturing nature that lead to one of many of her accomplishments in life. She treated people with love and kindness and that included her cooking. She was well known for being an excellent cook. Virginia worked many jobs during her lifetime on this earth. She worked as a private cook, Majesty Hotel, Feather Lite of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Curtis Mathis of Benton, Arkansas and a seasonal tax preparation. After she became physically unable to work, she started hobbies she really loved by during decorating for Wedding, flower arrangements for weddings and funerals. She was very talented and gifted in what she did. Virginia was a loving and caring person willing to help people when needed help. She will definitely be missed for her collard greens and cabbage. Virginia was preceded in death by aforementioned parents, brothers; Charles McCalister, H. B. McCalister, Eugene McCalister; Sister: Ardie Jean Flamer. Virginia will forever be loved and missed by her daughters: Laverne (Jimmy) Hill and Nicki L. McCalister of Columbus, Georgia, Michelle Williams and Veretta (Rita) McCalister of Malvern, Arkansas; two brothers: C. L. McCalister and Calvin McCalister of Malvern, Arkansas; three Sisters: Queen E. McCalister and Georgia A. Houston of Los Angeles, California, Janice Carter of Malvern, Arkansas; four grandsons: Terrance McCalister, Terrell McCalister, Tyreec McCalister and Chuncey McCalister. Two granddaughters: Tiana Hill and Tania Hill; one great grandson: Ta'Maurio M. Moore III (Tre); three great granddaughters: Tristyn Patterson, Tamia Palmer and Tylani McCalister and one four-legged fur baby (Munster). A host of nieces, nephews, relatives , friends and First Baptist Rockport Church family.
