Dorothy Jean (Big Mama) Brown Welch 81 of Malvern, Arkansas transitioned from labor to reward Friday, January 15, 2021 at Arkansas
Health Care Center, Benton.  Dorothy was born April 11, 1939 in Farmersville, Louisiana to Doss Brown and Lillie Mae Glosson  Reddick.

Dorothy attended school at Westside High School in Lilly, Louisiana.She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt.
Pisgah Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana.

October 1, 1960 Dorothy and Richard Herman Welch joined together in Matrimony.  In 1963 Dorothy and Richard move to Malvern, Arkansas.
They raised six children; Jacqueline (Jackie) Brown, Rickey, Jennifer, Tracy, Martie and Carla.
After moving to Malvern, Dorothy joined Greater New Hope Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health failed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by; parents Doss Brown and Lillie Reddick; husband Richard Herman Welch; son Rickey Welch; sisters: Betty Hill, Verna Barnes, Linnie Talley, Judith Reddick and Callie Benton;brothers: Sam Heard, Henry Reddick, Leotha Reddick, Thomas Reddick and
Willie Lee Reddick.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories; daughters: Jacqueline (Jackie) Brown, Jennifer Welch Burks, Tracy Welch and Carla Welch (Robert) of Little Rock; son: Martie (JoAnna) Welch of Little Rock, AR; sister Deborah Allen (Ronnie) of Texarkana, TX; brother Billy Ray Reddick of Texrkana, TX; daughter in law Ruby Annette Carter
Welch of Little Rock, AR; sister in law Lucy Mae Welch of Camden, AR. Eleven grandchildren; Jamaad Welch, Nakiyah Means, Kaniyah Means,
Starkeria Wright, Jeris Wright, Stephanie Means, Bryson McGhee, Philander Means Jr. Quinton Welch, Aubreanna Wright and Princess
Welch.She leaves 17 great-grandchildren, relatives and a host of cherished friends.

Be not dismayed, whatever,
