He attended public schools in Little Rock, AR. and graduated from Central High School in 1969. After high school Robert went on to pursue adventures in the U.S. Navy.

In April 1994 Robert and family united with Saint Mark Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Steven Arnold. In 1973 he married Betty Ann Smith, together they had Robyn Diane and Rodney Maurice Jackson. Robert was well known throughout the City of Little Rock by his given nickname " Jake" . Robert worked for the Kellwood Company from 1973 to 1980. He later found employment with the IRS and due to downsizing left there in 1997. A Veteran's Prayer

Dear Lord, We honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.  We pray that you will bless them, Lord, for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country's heritage, for all of us. Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America's victories over tyranny and oppression.  In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
